Every Thursday The Great Lost Bear Showcases a craft brewery, a style of beer or hosts a battle between rivals. Annual seasonal beer introductions include David Geary's Autumn, Spring, Summer and Winter Ales, Allagash Black, and Shipyard's Pumpkinhead and Prelude. Microbreweries that have introduced their beers at the Bear include Allagash, Sheepscot, Marshall Wharf, Baxter Brewing and Maine Coast Brewing Co. Maine Mead Works is another local operation the Bear is proud to support

Beside David Geary, Guest Bartenders have included Ed Stebbins and Richard Pfeffer from Gritty McDuffs, Shipyard's Alan Pugsley, Pete from Pete's Wicked Ale, Garrett Oliver from Brooklyn Brewing, Kai Adams from Sebago Brewing, Andy Hazen from Andrews Brewing, Sam Calagione from Dogfish Head, Steve Gorrill from Sheepscot Valley, and everyone's favorite Boy Brewer, Rob Tod from Allagash.

Annual Showcase highlights include the Annual Brew Pub Cup (Run of the Mill, Saco, ME 2011 cup holder) held in January. Allagash is in the house on a regular basis, often featuring Moules et Frites, Christmas in July happens every Summer featuring local and imported Christmas favorites offered in the wrong season, and everyone's favorite....THE WHEEL OF DESTINY happens throughout the year....get on our mailing list!!! Gritty McDuff's Halloween Ale Party in October and the year ends with the Twelve Beers of Christmas in December...... During the Showcase, all Pints or appropriate glasses are available for $2.99 between 5 and 9 PM and there are lot's and lot's of Brewery and Great Lost Bear Prize Giveaways.

The First Wednesday of each month features THE SHIPYARD ALE SOCIETY with Shipyard Pints available for $2.99 between 5- 7 PM

Thursday 2/16 ABITA MARDI GRAS, Abita Springs, LA Lot's of beads and fun with beers from the Bayou. We will be pouring ABITA TURBODOG, a great dark brown ale, ANDYGATOR a helles dopplebock, and PURPLE HAZE a popular raspberry wheat beer.

Thursday 2/23 NORTH COAST BREWING COMPANY, Fort Bragg, CA We expect to have some ACME IPA, SCRIMSHAW PILSNER, RED SEAL ALE and the awesome OLD RASPUTIN Russian Imperial Stout in the house!
